I was just wondering if there is a certain amount of levels your tama's can go up in one day through connecting, or can they keep going up as long as you keep connecting them? Also, do they have to be at a certain stage before they will reach a certain level of friendship?

 
That would depend upon what age your tamas are... If your tamas are adult and the opposite sex you can have them fall in love with four heart in one day. If your tamas are the same sex or at any other age you can make them best friends in one day (four smiley faces).

 
Yes the have to be adults to get more than four smilies and have to be male and female. If they are younger than adults then the max is four smilies. Hope I helped, drey

it is too bad.. that they cant be "best friends" being the same sex, but its okay...

i like the animation that you see if they are 3-4 smilies, playing video games, watching sunsets, and other stuff. in the present section.
