BALL AS A FOOD?

For some reason my TAMAGOTCHI died even though I took good care of it......but that isn't the point....so the next day when i have a diferent Guy i go to check the present list and there was a ball in the food section.....I thought it was wierd so i tried to exit out but it froze and i was forced to restart my TAMAGOTCHI and i went to investigate why there was a ball (same picture as the one he stands an when you use it) i went to the food menu then went to meal then the snack and there were like 5 balls as a snack.........WHATS GOING ON......MY TAMAGOTCHI ISS BUGGED......every time i try to lok at the food in the present icon it freezes on the ball......Can someone give me an explanation please....

I forgot to mension that when i restarted my tamagotchi I downloaded to save my dear KYLE....
