Okay, if you want to debug, keep in mind it CAN damage your tama. but I've debugged 2 so far, and none are broken or anything...There are a lot of threads with people asking how you debug, but I guess since it's right in your title it'll make it easier for people to see this. Anyway..*Disclaimer: I have only done this on version 1s. I dont know the effect for v2 or v3s.*
1. Unscrew the back of your tamagotchi, where the battery is.
2. see the four TINY screws in each of the corners once you've removed the back? Unscrew all of those. Be careful not to lose them, and open up your tama.
3. Now you should be viewing the full circuit board of your tamagotchi. To the lower left of where the battery is held, there is "DEBUG" with two semicircles underneath it.
4. Rub the semicircles with a pencil, dont do it too hard.
5. Put your tamagotchi back together and put the battery in. select Reset. There should be a messed up egg in place of the regular, bouncing one, and you'll know that it's messed up when you see it.
6. If it's not the messed up egg, sorry...I'd either leave it be or just take it apart and rub the debug circles a little more. If you DO have the messed up egg, congratulations. Set the time, and the egg will hatch really quickly. press A to scroll through characters to have...and just select the tama you want.
7. These tamagotchi characters will not evolve. If youre not doing anything, press C and it will begin to be in "hypertime" mode. It'll speed through aging, which is only good for the matchmaker (it comes to debugged ones when they're 3 or 4) because they can't evolve.
