Breeding Issues

Just for the record, I am using a Tamagotchi v3, trying to breed with a v3, and am using Tamagotchis from Canada.

I have a Tama version three which I am trying to breed with my brother's v3. Mine is a girl, his is a boy. Mine is six years old, his is five. They both have 4 hearts for each other.We connect and connect, but all they do is kiss*. We've tried Game, Present, Visit, but they simply will not have a baby! What am I doing wrong, or what can I do to make them have a kid?

*they only kiss when we select Present
