connection help

i just got my tama 3 days ago, it is a teenager right now(ichigochi)(sp?) and i was hoping to connect w/my friend hers is an adult though. We tried to connect today and we got the stand by screen then it just stopped...it didnt say connection failed or anything. Is it the age difference, or what? suggestions please and thank you!

did it freeze or what?

and i dont think its the age difference as i've always connected my teens with adults...so maybe just a glitch
