How many years does it take for the adult to leave

When you get an adult tama, and mated, and is taking caring of the baby, I heard that the adult leaves after the baby is....however many years old! But that's what I need to know! How long do you have to wait for you to take care of the new baby? I'm confused!!! PLZ HELP!!!

Actually, I don't think it has anything to do with age. You have to wait 24 hours and then the parent leaves at midnight. At about 9:30 AM, the baby is yours to take care of.
