unless you find an ojitchi for it to mate with, then it will die. Or if you have 2 tamas, then let one be a boy and pause your otokitchi until the other grows to ojitchi. (youll get the secret char. on those too.) mate them and theyll have babies!

 
I think it will die,but I got matchmacker when I was 6,

you may get it at 1 minute after 5:59(6:00)

I agree with what Bubbles11 said.

The matchmaker visits only for a few days. If you keep rejecting the selections she offers as a mate, she gives up, and doesn't come back any more.

Oldies can last up to age 99. That means you may have almost 3 months to find it a mate. Good luck.

P.S. children of oldies grow up to be Oyajitchi (the character also known as Bill). There's some info about that here:

But I thought the matchmaker stops coming if your an oldie?

As a matter of fact the only way to get an oldie is to always reject her, if you have a baby, your adult tama will leave before turning into an old tamagotchi.
