first of all your tamagotchi has to be 4 or over... Use love potion on one of them, connect, and they'll kiss and the one with the love potion will have hearts at the bottom. Do the exact same with the other tamagotchi. Now they will both love each other. Connect everyday USING PRESENTS TO CONNECT!!! and 24 hours after the "connection of love" (lol) and when they are a year older they will have babies.

Well, they will only mate if thwy are:
5 years old
and they love each other 4 hearts. (♥♥♥♥)
WHenever you do present connection after that they will kiss.
If you keep connecting using present, one of them (Or both) will shake thier head, saying No. Fireworks will go off. The female will then have the babys and one will go to the male ;3
