It was quiet in Kagura's room. Maylee and Mitsuke were in the room, but it was quiet. Kagura looked down at the ground. She was upset. Finally, Mitsuke spoke up in her two year old voice, "Me want juice!" Kagura looked up. "J-juice?" she murmured. Maylee got up. "C'mon, Mi, I'll go pour you some juice." Maylee and Kanna walked off.
Kagura hung her head again. I can't believe this is happening! she thought. Tears streamed down her face. Why? Why did this happen to me? Maylee walked back into the room. "Kagura?" she said, softly,"Are you okay?" Kagura just sat there, her head hanging. Maylee looked away.
Poor Kagura! she thought, She must feel so alone inside without her mother. I would, if mama had died in a car "accident". Well, it really didn't seem accidental to me!!! Maylee held up her fist, angrily. Kagura looked up.
Miruko walked into the room. He looked at Kagura and Maylee with her fist up. "So, Kagura made you that angry eh?" he said, glaring angrily at Maylee. "Miruko!" she yelled, "You know I would never do that to Kagura!"
Miruko laughed, "Sorry! Wanna go grab a bite to eat?" he asked. "Sure!" said Maylee. "Kagura! Wanna come along?" Kagura finally spoke up. [SIZE=8pt]"I guess...it's better than sitting here all alone..." [/SIZE] Maylee smiled.
But, Miruko didn't look too happy. "Argh!" he eclaimed, "I've had it with you! You won't stop moaning and groaning and glooming around your room!" Kagura looked surprised. "Miruko!" said Maylee, dissapointed in her older brother. "Stay out of this Maylee! It's between me and Miss Baby over there!"
Kagura looked angry now. "So that's how it's going to be is it?" Kagura tranformed into half wolf. "No! Kagura! Stop!" said Maylee. Kagura tranformed back. "You just don't get it do you, Miruko, you've never lost someone you loved, someone you cared about!" Miruko looked down.
"Actually, I have!" Miruko replied. "My..my...parents were killed in a car accident when I was 3!" Maylee gasped. "I was adopted from the adoption agency by Kanna and Miroko Higatchi!" he explained, "My real parents are Ellie and Lee Parker! I wasn't killed, but injured, so I didn't know who I was! When I was older, my "parents" told me that I wasn't Miruko Higatchi, but Sam Parker."
Maylee was angry. Tears streamed down her face. "14 years!" she said. "Wh-whats that supposed to mean?" Miruko asked, puzzled. "We've lived together 14 years, and I thought you were the only person who I could trust, but, I guess...now that I know the truth, I know there must be a lot you've lied to me about!" Maylee replied. "B-but..." Maylee stormed out of the room....
