i posted this somewhere else, but i think i should post it here to.

leave it alone for 30 min then sometimes there is a traning point!!! it worked three times for me and it should work for u.

you can also give it a time out for calling you for nothing. also give it time outs when it gives unexspected gifts to friend.

to get points play games all the time or connect to somebody and press games and if you win you get points

 
You give it a time out when the attention icon highlighted and you praise it when it has it's back turned. (or is crying)

 
praise and/or discipline it when it needs to be trained and/or disciplined.

 
i got 3,000 points from a lamp i bought at the store for 700 points!!! it was cool a genie gave me at first 1,000 points and then i was surprized it was still on my items list and i used it again and the 2nd time he gave my 2,000 pts.... you can also get points from fishing, digging, and so on
