How do you get the avatar from your on computer?

When I tryed It said I couldn't

I have this cute picture of mimitchi on my computer and I want it as my avatar

Help please

 
<_< :huh: Yes I did, just go on save as, go on the "Save As Type" then click the arrow and you will see Grapics Interchange Format(*.gif) click on it and then save your drawing on there and you can put it on your avatar and there you go that should help. :( :D
