I have been ripped off a few times too but a heap of good sales do happen and a trade/sale page should be comi9ng to Tamatalk soon

I think you have a lesser chance of getting scammed on eBay than send someone you don't know money and expect them to follow through. At least with eBay you have the feedback forum. JMO though. I'm not saying people here are dishonest, but you never know...
