The matchmaker came to visit and left a partner behind. Naturally my tamagotchi had a new generation but I noticed yesterday ( 2 days later) that there was an angel on the screen and the new generation was back to an egg again. It's lists the tamagotchi under history not as a parent and the new generation is still being listed as a 1G. Both were happy and well cared for...any ideas?

Thanks.

Thank you for your help.. I figured that but wondered why both the 'parent' and the new 'baby' both died. It was odd since neither was sick at the time and for it to happen days after getting the new generation. Almost like the tamagotchi 'restarted' it self. Lost all my points as well.

All babies get ill a couple of times before they turn into toddlers. Also babies need to be fed and made happy more often than older characters do. If your baby became ill and didn't get attention, or ran out of food, it could die. If the baby dies, the parent does too.

The adult hadn't left the baby yet. I'm new at this and based on the directions in the package it said the adult would take care of the baby for the 1st 24 hours. I would feed the adult no problem even when the hungry meter was full. I would have thought that if the parent died the 'baby' would have carried on rather than 'starting' over again. Thank you though for your input..it has been helpful.

Just read the 'addition' to your response..and now it makes alot more sense... thank you very much.
