Those are called animations.
Different stages of tamagotchi and different tamagotchi characters perform deiifernt animations.
Child tamas can role around on the screen and blow kisses.
Teen tamas can take baths and do what child tamas can.
Adult tamas can do what teen tamas can and they can also brush their teeth, come up close to the screen and more. ^_^
