Chapter 1 ~ The Letter
Zahra trudged out of school holding her precious young mimitchi and the ill-fated letter clutched in her hand, scrumpled, ripped. She heard the growing-up beep of her tamagotchi and looked down just in time to see a Mametchi. She smiled a small smile and remembered all the hard work she had gone to to get her young mimitchi. As soon as she reached the other side of the playground her mum rushed over to her, seeing her downcast face.
"What's up sweetheart?" she asked gently.
"Oh Mum, it's my tamagotchi!" Cried Zahra in despair.
"What, has it died or something?" Her mum said with an obvious sigh.
"No, they're banned!" Groaned Zahra, bursting into tears.
"What does that matter darling?"
"It'll die Mum!"
Her mum looked as if she was facing her fate while she said these words:
"Don't worry, me and your dad will look after it for you."
And then she looked astonished and rather ashamed of herself.
