Whats a gigapet?

I don't know what a gigapet is. can someone tell me?

A Giga Pet is another kind of virtual pet. It's sorta like a Tamagotchi, just a little bit different (different shape, more buttons, can't evolve into different characters). Hasbro makes them. They are one of Tamagotchis biggest competitors and are probably the 2nd most popular virtual pet around. Of course, Tamagotchi is still the worlds #1 virtual pet!

 

There used to be lots of different kinds of gigas (I don't have one, but I've been reading about them); now there's only a few: LIZARD DRAGON GIGA, PIXIE GIGA, PUFFBALL GIGA, SCORPION GIGA, PUPPY GIGA, AND TOMCAT GIGA.

 

There are lots of other kinds of virtual pets out there: Tamagotchis, Giga Pets, Nano Pets, NeoPets (online pet), and all sorts of other Tama look-a-likes.

I have a ton of the old Giga pets that came out when the original tamas came out in '97. There was Compu Kitty, Digital Doggie, Microchimp, Komputer Koala, Floppy Frog, Virtual Alien, Bit Critter, and some promos. They were so much fun! You could teach your pet tricks. The new ones are a bit easier to play, because the older ones were pretty hard if you didn't know what you were doing. The old ones are hard to find now, and they can cost quite a bit on ebay.
