While debating on what tamagotchis to get (no I have not yet reached the "all of them" stage) I was deliberating umino vs. morino and decided morino was the way to go, what with ocean being so needy and all (though i do kinda still want one  )

Anyone else have one? Mine is still in the child stage, all my info on it having come from mimitchi's site. The game seems a little annoying to me, being used to the connection's games... but altogether not bad, and the idea is very unique.

Was the Morino ever released in the United States? I know there were rumors or some such, but I have yet to see evidence of this.

Anyway, anybody out there have any gems of insect wisdom or buggy anecdotes?

Congrats on the Mori. What color did you get?

This is my basic wrap up on the Morino Mori info

My first was the brown one. I just thought a brown tamagotchi was neat to have so I chose that first.

Mine is the yellow with brightly colored leaves. I was going to get the vines, but the auction ended right before I had decided. Nonetheless I am happy with this one.

My Imochi turned into a cocoon just now. Supposedly he'll be like this for 24 hours. I am undecided on which temperature to hatch at. Any ideas?

For your first Mori, I'd pick any temperature. I usually decide by what I'd rather be at the moment  Warmer or cooler.
Remember though, you should check the temperature every couple of hours and maybe even once during the night to prevent your bug from being completely cooked or frozen!
If it does not weigh enough, it will come back out as a worm thing.
It needs to be heavy enough to turn in to a final bug.

Well, I am assuming that the hot/cold icons are like a thermostat, whicever I have it set to, it will slowly guide the temperature there. Mostly the temperature stayed the same, so I wasn't sure if it was doing anything, but then i noticed it heading upwards a bit. We'll see what happenes tomorrow... I hope I did everything right.

What do you knwo about the feeding? Everything I know about Morino is from Kat's logs, so I don't know quite what the different foods will do.

It's the forest themed tamagotchi like ocean tamagotchi, where you raise a bug. It has a motion sensor like angel, to scare away predators.

Kat's logs are pretty thorough as you know :D
When you have more than one food choice, the one that will increase the weight more is the furthest choice and not the preset first choice. LIke give it the food that also raises it's happiness. The dessert type foods will make him weigh more.

Has your guy been stepped on yet?
When it grows up, the preditor will also change. So keep your eyes peeled ^_^

Today he changed into Funkorogatchi, the lowest on the list >_< I thought I was doing a pretty good job, considering... oh well, live and learn, He's pretty cute, though.

I usually catch the predators, but I think I missed it once or twice because he had a bunch of bandages on him, like a mummy...

<sigh> Funkorogatchi died today at age 8... I was sleeping in and I think I missed an attack or something... I think I will do better next time.
