when 1round appears on screen press the B button lots constantly like taptaptaptaptaptaptap so when the black bar appears over the tamagotchis heads it most likely to be full (cuz your pressing constantly) so you'll have more power.....i posted a tip for bump on the tips and trick forum...the heavier your tama is, the more likely it is to win (or at least it works for me, 53lb works best) hope this helps

Yeah, I tap on the buttons over and over... and the bar will be really high and I'll still lose most of the time. I think you're right, it does have to do with weight.
I think getting the bar high is only part of it.. When I get the bar mostly black, but don't press a or b during the bumbing, I lose. If the bar is not much black, but I press a or b alot - taptaptaptaptaptap - I sometimes win. I think the power bar sets how strong your bumps will be when pressing a or b for that rounds bumping...
