Ok, I wanted to go to Neopets so I went one day. And then a few days later my dad found a virus in the computer. He asked me what new sites I went on and I said Neopets. He then told me to never go there again. So if I were you, I would advise you NOT to go to Neopets.com because all it is is SPAM and VIRUSES. Believe me. -ZTF

Hmm well...really the best advice I can offer you is toimake sure that you have the best anti-virus protection software that you can. In all honesty, picking p a virus from Neopets is pretty unlikely unless you start downloading all sorts of things.....

Be careful with what you do - I doubt you'll pick up a virus by just going there...

2 years no virus weird how people go crazy over nothing

My old computer started having trouble once I started going on Neopets too. It got so bad we had to get another computer. I didn't realize neopets was the problem though. I went on it with my new computer, and it started acting slow, and sometimes the internet 'freezes" up. I do not go on it anymore.

Well it is only your computer to me!! I have been playing for 5 years and I never had one problem on neopets.

Lol, it's about time somebody else noticed.

no offence but i have been on neopets for 3 yrs and have not gotten a virus from it

i know not to click on the popups and ads cus they are mostly scams to get a virus on the computer. tho i have gotten a virus b4, it did not come from neopets and a friend of my mom was able to get rid of the virus somehow

Thats strange, it does nothing to most peoples computers.

Read this to prevent any problem from Neopets. My friend works at a computer store, and he told me I can still go on Neopets as long as I keep these programs, and I trust him because my computer has been fine.

I go on Neopets and yes you can get viruses and spyware from it, but if you have the right programs there's nothing to worry about. Read further to read about the programs i use.

AVG Antivirus: Free Edition--- great protector against viruses and pop-ups. check for updates every other day and run a full system scan once a week.

Ad-Aware SE Personal (free)--- Protects against spyware. Again check for updates every other day, and run a scan once a week.

CleanUp!---(free) run once a month to clear any junk data, after your computer will have more free space, and run a bit faster!

(Defrag your computer) (once a month) this makes your computer faster (run 3 times the first month you use it, after that only once a month is fine)

4. system tools

5. click disk defragmenter, then scan.

Use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, it's better and faster.

Follow this and Neopets will no longer affect your computer, soyou can still go on and enjoy it. Hope this helps.

When I used to play neopets, my computer never had a problem, and I played for almost 3 years. Until my account, hottie4evur, was frozen. Also including a beautiful baby uni also named hottie4evur. If that account wasn't frozen, I'd still be on neopets
