I haven't had these more than maybe 2 weeks... but the sound seems a little weird. Often when I press the buttons the resulting sounds are tinny and weak, or discordant and just off. Is this normal for osu/mesu? They couldn't need new batteries already, could they? The mesu was always a little quieter than the osu, but they both are acting up and I am concerned. Is this something that can be fixed?

I am not possitive, but the P1 and P2s accasionoly would make like a weak noise that sounded abit crispy. Is this what you mean?

Well, I'm not sure... but crispy would work to describe this, only it happens most of the time I press a button now. It happens more often on my osu than my mesu.
