Why can't I visit my parents?

My tama mated with my friends tama. I thought it was strange because the tamas only had the aquantance face. When the matchmaker came it had my friends tama as a mate. After the parent left i visited my parents once and then my grandparents. After that I deleted my friends tama from my friend list and now I can't visit my parents anymore and I am on my seventh generation!!!!!! What happened? Why did my tama get matched with my friend's tama if we only connected once? If you know please don't hesitate to post.

That`s a glitch. It happenes to me alot.

The tama character that the match-maker brought was of the same species as your friend's, but wasn't your friend's. It just looked the same.

I've seen posted elsewhere, so maybe it's a common problem: if you delete people from your friends list, sometimes entries from your parents list disappear too. Usually after a couple of generations, things go back to normal. You could also try pressing the reset button on the back, then at the download/reset screen, select download.

If you delete a Tamagotchi you mated with on your friend list, the Tama that was yours will dissapear from the parents list. (Also, if you set the time back where the parents left after they had already left, it will leave again and be on the parents list TWICE!! Scary.....)

Also, after 5 generations you will not get to see any of the parents. On generation 6, generation 3 comes back.
