Can V3's connect with Tamagotchi Connection?

I tried connecting with my friends, but ti didn't work.

It just stayed on the standby screen and then just went back to normall.

Am I doing something wrong?

Connecting V1 to V1

On both just select the connect icon.

Connecting V2 to V1

On the V2 select VER.1 at the connect PLAYMATE? menu.

On the V1 just select the connect icon.

Connecting V2 to V2

On both select VER.2 at the connect PLAYMATE? menu.

Connecting V3 to V1

On the V3 select OTHERS at the connect PLAYMATE? menu.

On the V1 just select the connect icon.

Connecting V3 to V2

On the V3 select OTHERS at the connect PLAYMATE? menu.

On the V2 select VER.1 at the connect PLAYMATE? menu.

Connecting V3 to V3

On both select VER.3 at the connect PLAYMATE? menu.
