Okay, remember the old Tamagotchi Glitch List?

Here it is: The Tamagotchi Glitch List

I decided to make a new, cleaner, glitch list. I would appreciate if a guide could pin this topic because it could help a LOT of people.

Thanks to Mametchi Lord for giving me the idea of making a newer, more organised glitch list!

Here it is, and if you want to add, use the link above because I want to keep this topic clean.

Q: My Tamagotchi is 3 years old and is still a baby?
A: If you leave your Tamagotchi on the name screen for a few days, the age of the Petitchi/Teletchi/Babytchi will be how many days you left it for. It will grow regularly. (Thanks, Chocosilver!)

Q: How do you un-debug a Tamagotchi?
A: Open it up and erase the pencil marks.

Q: Why is there an X on my screen?
A: Your battery is almost dead! Buy a new one or take the old one out (some people say you have to put it in the fridge but you might not have to). When you replace the old one, the Tamagotchi should work perfectly. (Success more guaranteed with a new battery.)

Q: What's the growth process?
A: Baby for an hour, child for 24 hours, teenager for 72 hours and adult until it marries or grows old.

Q: Why is there a ball in my snack section?
A: The ball can appear when your Tamagotchi dies and you hold A and C or when you debug. You can feed the Tamagotchi the ball. If you're lucky, nothing will happen, but if you're not lucky, your Tamagotchi could FREEZE up and you have to download your Tamagotchi! This is a common glitch, you're not alone!

Q: I dropped my Tamagotchi in water and now it's going crazy!
A: The Tamagotchi is electronic so it is short circuiting. Take the battery out and/or disassemble the Tamagotchi and put it next to a heater or hair dryer (not too close!) and leave it overnight to dry- it takes 2-12 hours. This should work. (Thanks *santagotchi*!)

Q: My Tamagotchi keeps resetting itself!
A: You probably dropped it too many times. Usually it can download. Check to make sure the screws of the Tamagotchi are all tightened. Don't overtighten them or they may crack. Make sure the battery is secure, if the battery you got was too thin (e.g. CR 2016) then get some toilet paper, rip it up, crunch it into small balls and put them over the battery. This should help! (Thanks *santagotchi*!)

Q: My Tamagotchi's pixels got all weird and they messed up for a few seconds!
A: It may be a reaction to heat. Move away from any heat source. If it's not heat, I don't know why. (Thanks Kuchipatchi99!)

Q: I have a teenager who is 0 years old!
A: There's a hidden hour meter. When this gets to 24, your Tamagotchi ages and the hidden hour meter resets. (I think.) If you reset and download you reset this hour meter but this does NOT affect growth.

Q: My Tamagotchi's screen froze! I could go onto sound mode, but I couldn't exit or anything!
A: Try waiting. Or, try resetting and downloading. (Thanks StarTama!)

Q: When I played Bump, a boom cloud versed me and then my Tamagotchi became unhappy!
A: Sure you were playing Bump? Because, you may have opened a chest/lamp. Or maybe if you debugged your Tamagotchi or simply opened it lately, then maybe your problem is there. If not, I don't know. Remember, Tamagotchi v3 is the MOST GLITCHY Tamagotchi!

Q: When my Tamagotchi goes to sleep an action figure/lion appears too!
A: That's just like a real kid sleeping with his/her stuffed toy! If you give an action figure to a boy, and a lion/doll to a girl and never stop them playing with it, they WILL sleep with it at night! Very cute!

Q: When I connected with another Tamagotchi, it kept failing, then one suddenly worked and I didn't get my baby!
A: Don't connect in bright sunlight or in bright lighting or in the path of anything that uses IR (e.g. TV controllers)! Your Tamagotchi will fail, though occasionally one will work!

Q: My batteries are running out quickly!
A: Don't connect! It really eats up your batteries! Just a bit of advice...

Q: How do you get the discipline thing to work?
A: Keep the sound on. When it beeps, and it still has 1 heart in hungry and 1 in happy, punish/time out! If it has its back turned to you or it's crying though, you'll have to praise.

Q: Does your Tamagotchi have to be just an adult before it can get a child, or does it have to be a certain age?
A: After 48-72 hours, your Tamagotchi can mate and get a child.

Q: A teddy bear came up to my v1's screen before, then blanked out?!
A: Maybe it was a Mametchi doing its winking thing and then the battery became loose or ran out completely.

Q: My Tamagotchi always thinks I'm pressing buttons!
A: You probably played with it with wet fingers. Leave it for a day without playing and it should be fine. (Thanks Tamakitty 101!)

Q: My parent appears on the Parent list twice!
A: I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Check the Tamagotchi FAQ, maybe you'll find an answer.

Q: EWWWW! THERE'S A POO IN MY SHOP!
A: Don't buy it! If your Tamagotchi eats it, it may stuff up your Tamagotchi! If it does, reset and download! Don't like what's in the shop? Set the time to 2:59pm or 6:59pm and wait a minute- the shop will change!

Q: I got Memetchi on first generation!
A: They must have changed v3 so you can get Memetchi on first generation! Yippee! I love Memetchi but I'm trying to see how old I can get my Tamagotchi to live! (Mr record is 28 because I got frustrated at my Tamagotchi.)

Q: An odd item appeared! It was a bunch of pixels with an odd name!
A: Best to ignore it if you can. Try resetting and downloading, or see if you can trash the item.

Q: What's the name screen?/Can you change your Tamagotchi's name?
A: The 'Name your Tamagotchi!' screen is when you hatch your Tamagotchi or are left with a baby from a previous adult. You can name your Tamagotchi. On one of the status screens, you can see its name but not change it!

Q: My Tamagotchi's a toddler and won't stop crying!
A: Praise it, and you'll get a mark in your training bar!

Q: My Tamagotchi skipped a stage! It evolved from a kid to a Mametchi!
A: SURE??? Because, it may be a Yangu Mametchi! Check your games. If it's a v2 and you only have Jump, Bump and Heading, or if it's a v3 and you only have Get *musical note*, Bump, Flag and Heading, it's a Yangu Mametchi! If you have Slot (v2) or Memory and Sprint (v3) then you have a Mametchi and a glitch! Some characters on v2 like Yufotchi (UFOtchi) and Puroperatchi (Propellertchi) are said to be adults on the character chart, but they're teenagers! If in doubt go here and check: http://tamapedia.piczo.com! I made that site!

Q: Though Hinatchi is on both v2 and v3, when I connected them together, the Hinatchi appeared as a Nazotchi on the v2!
A: Sometimes they don't talk together so well. I mean, connect a v3 egg with a v1 and it turns up as a Nazotchi! Nazotchi appears if a character is not in the other one's programming. For example, connect a Dorotchi with a v1, which doesn't have Dorotchi, and you get Nazotchi on the v1.

Q: How do you get Nazotchi?
A: It's said you get Nazotchi from not feeding snacks. I'm trying this out on my v3, named 'Reset' at the moment.

Q: I got a Cho-Himetchi on a v1!
A: If you connect a v1 with a Cho-Himetchi compatable Tamagotchi a lot and reset the v1 a lot I think you CAN get Cho-Himetchi. This happened to my friend. It could also happen through debugging, though this happened on my friend's ConneXion. This Cho-Himetchi had a really tall baby, slept with the crown on his head and ran sideways in Jump. He also pooed a LOT and he was 21st generation, though my friend never really got past 3rd. The Cho-Himetchi's weight and age was psycho, the numbers being upside down and everything. Its name, "Tommy", was the only correct thing.

More to come, but please don't post! Just post in the old Tamagotchi Glitch List.

Guides, would you please pin this? This could be a real help for everyone.

Dr. Tam, it IS possible to get Nazotchi as a character. He is a SECRET character that you can get if you do NOT feed snacks. That's what I've heard anyway. One person's Blogagotchi proves that it's possible, though I've forgotten whose it was.

Honeysuckle, I do read the old glitch list.

Meh, I was hoping the TamaGuides would pin this. But no, they haven't. Just think, when this is pinned there's gonna be less topics in this forum because many would read this.

Less topics = less server space.

Um... with the "only the sound screen works thing", even resetting sometimes doesn't work. The Tamagotchi can be totally non-responsive!

On my V3 it ran out of batteries and I got new ones. They were Radio Shack brand, so I think their OK. After 5 1/2 days, the "running out of batteries sign (the X with the battery)" showed up. I've also heard of people's batteries running out 3 or so days after they purchased and started theier V3's.

Some of the first batches of Tamagotchi products didn't work too well.
Check the release date and don't rush out buying straight away.
