My Tamagotchi turns a new age everyday-except it ages around 3 pm! Is this normal?

Yeah, Tamagotchi usually age quite quickly as toddlers, babies etc.
Though, once your Tamagotchi hits the teen stage it wont age every single day anymore. It may take up to 2 days or so.

The time you *woke* up your tamagotchi from its trip from Tamagotchi Planet is the time it ages every day, And....
1 Hour for a Baby to age
1 Day for a Kid to Age
3 Days for a Teen to age
A week for an Adult to evolve

Yes, a Tamagotchi will age every 24 hours unpaused time.
A baby takes an hour to evolve, a child takes 24 hours and a teenager takes 72 hours. An adult takes about 7 days to evolve into an old timer.
