I bought a brand new V2 tamagotchi saturday. As today is wednesday, this shouldn'r be happening:

I was shopping snacks for my Ufotchi, when the empty battery icon suddenly started flickering. I had just owned the toy for like four days!

I opened the back of the unit and took out the battery. It was undamaged, and I put it back in, and pressed Reset. It's working fine, and it has done for an hour.

Should I change the battery?

Anyone knows what happened? Just a glitch?

Tell me what to do.

Sally

wait if the sign comes up again, if it does, change the battery, maybe its an old or bad 1, if not, thers no reason 2 change sth

It may last for a while- it may just have been loose in the casing and when you put it back together tightening the screw may have made it more secure.

However, as it is a V2 it could have been hanging around in the shop for a long time. Even without being untabbed you don't know what conditions the toy has been stored in for the last 18 months or so since it was made so the battery has been in there a while.

I would suggest buying a new battery just in case, but keeping the present one in the toy until you get the low battery warning again.
