Is it fake?

I have a tamagotchi full of flowers. There is no tamagotchi word above. It is a V3 , I cannot find this design on tamagotchi.com so is it a fake?

EDIT: My friends tamagotchi MIGHT be a fake. Hers is totally white with 4 words at the top. "TMGC" Is it real?

Well i'm sorry to say that your friends "Tamagotchi" is most likely a fake. I'm pretty sure yours is too....

But there is the little band that writes Tamagotchi.

Could it be possible that your friends tamagotchi is Japanese? I have saw Japanese tamas with "TMCG" on it

I guess that your is a connexion, they only have the word Tamagotchi simply written on the top.

wow, my friend got a fakie once. she pulled the tab and it went beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeooooohhhh and then it died out. she tried getting new batteries but later on in the week she re-packedged it and tried to sell it on e-bay lol

if the design is not on tamagotchi.com it doesnt mean it's not real. i have a design not on tamagotchi.com and it's real.

Your friend's Tamagotchi is most likely real. I know a red Tamagotchi with wings and 'TMGC' on the top sold here in Oz.

As for yours, I'm not sure.

I got a fake tamagotchi (a "Cyber Kitten") for my birthday. I had never seen any other virtual pets like this one, as all my other VP's are genuine tamagotchis.

I have of course seen fakes, but as all of them are totally non-tamagotchi it has been ok that they are and we all should try to not be so critical towards everything.

The Toy brand was JD or something. The toy was a pale pink egg-shaped thing with a larger screen than Tamagotchi. It's logo on top was two units vibrating. When I pulled out the plastic tab, there was a silly little tune and I got a Mimitchi character! That chilled me. And there was nowhere I could name the character. But even worse! - The infrared-icon was a Memetchi and Mametchi! Mametchi with a bow tie and Memetchi with a silly veil - they were tamagotchi characters to the last detail. That sickened me.

I know I'm a grown-up, but grown-ups are more attached to their 'allowed' toys! - Besides that I'm a devoted fan, though I know there are other virtual pets out there. I said in a past topic that virtual pets are not fakes if they are not faking BanDai's idea they are not ripoffs. This was a rip-off.

That really scared me! And it's a really boring toy too - no shop, no snacks, only vitamin, no real games, and it's a sexist thing - boys fight and girls dance.

I don't think your friend has a fake tamagotchi. I think she has a Tamagotchi ConneXion. It's the European type of tamagotchi. If the package has the BanDai logo, than it's not a fake.

As for yours, it might be a fake. Have you checked the packaging on it? Did it have the BanDai logo? If so than it's not a fake. But if it didn't have the logo BanDai on it, and it said JD or TS, than sadly it's a fake.

Where did you guys get your tamagotchis from anyway?

It could be. Maybe not. If it's not egg-shaped, then it's a fake.

As one of my tamas is bought in Europe, i have a connexion with a simple Tamagotchi logo. there are just as many connections as connexions and toghether they're connecting just fine. The differences between connections and connexions are not many, but the connexion is debug-safe, so it can not be debugged. (I have tried). JD and TS are, like a wise lady once told me, head manufacturers of fake tamagotchi's, and a LOT of their products are right now being sold on Ebay, so watch out! I now know how grisly the world works.

An easy way to find out if your tamagotchi is real, is to flip it over. on the backside there is a little picture of a trash can with an X over, it says Bandai, wiz Bandai and a vintage number (ex.2004) and on the right side, a line of numbers. There are seven numbers. (of course), it also says made in china.
