Version 1 and Version 2 connecting problem

Hello.

Me and my sister both have a tamagochi. She has my old version 1 connection and I have Version 2. (I want mimitchi!)

Now I select version one on the IR menu and we can connect 90% of the time successfully. Now my tamagochi always appears as a different tamagotchi that I have never seen before (on my sisters screen)

Is there a way of fixing this?

 
Is your Version 2 chracter a new one. If it is, it is the secret character. It is translated into one of the Version 1 tama's so it can connect

 
Yep, thats right. "nazotchi" will appear if you have a new character that a V1 does not have in its memory. But, if its something like a gozorotchi (sp?) on the V2, then it will come accross on the V1 as a gozorotchi.
