Accidently reset please help!

Please help our 6 year old accidently reset his tamagotchi this morning. Is there any way to get it back, does he lose his friends? At the moment he has a new egg and is very sad that it was reset what can I do? Mum who doesnt know much about Tamagotchis.

 
When you reset, there is an option to download, meaning restore the tamagotchi back to the last major event in its life, like connecting with a friend or growing up. The second option is to start over. I suggest trying to download, but with the caveat that starting a new egg may have reset the computer's data to only restore to the new egg, not the previous tama. However, it is very easy to rekindle the old relationships. :angry:
