I figured out what Make-Up does to your Tamagotchi! You have to have a Mirror. I only have a girl Mametchi, so I'm not sure if this works on boy Tamagotchis. When you have the Mirror in your items, click on Make-Up. The Tamagotchi should look at the mirror, then when its reflection pops up, it will be wearing Make- Up! You can only use Make- Up once.

 
Yes, it does work with boy tamagotchis.
Sometimes you won't see your tama's reflection because it is being shy.

Yes that's right. Make up is not expensive either. A good idea can sometimes be to turn the sound off before using makeup. It has worked for me. I have time-outed one of my tamas once, that is really not necessary, as she got :ichigotchi: .

All tamagotchis have favourite toys. Just make a note for how long they play with it! My girl mametchi's favourite was the bow tie. :furawatchi:
