This is completely normal.
If you named the baby less than a day after it was left, than it should be 1 when it turns into a teen.
The only way for your tama to die is for you to totally neglect it for a very long period of time.

Tamagotchi's envolve at different times, and the changing is also different for different types/tamas too!
Ya, like GotchiGirl saidthe only way to have your tamagothic die is if you ingore it or prehaps your tama wasnt strong enough to live.
