To people who are 13 and above: Do you remember your childhood memories? Like the first time you got a bike, Your first day of school, ect. Do you feel happy about those days or you simply think they are stupid? For some people on Gaia have now lost there childhood happiness. Do you now hate the things you used to like back then?,Do you think you wasted your childhood?,ect..

To people who are below 13: You still have happiness in your valuable childhood? Are you happy with what you do as a child? Ect...

Childhood

I don't know, something related to this thread?

I am not sure my mood is serious enough at the moment to give the reply that this thread deserves.

I remember my childhood and it is a phase of my life that had many restrictions amongst other unpleasantries that I have no wish to return to.. however, it is a time that I look back to quite fondly. For me it was a happier time in many respects and I do remember those special moments like you suggested. I also see a lot of things in my friend's 12 year old daughter over the past couple of years that remind me specifically of attitudes and behaviours I used to have.

I by no means think that my childhood was a waste of time. It was a time of life where everything about who I am today was developing physically, emotionally, psychological etc. A lot of my attitudes and beliefs have changed over time.. but I still remember what they were and why I had them. I certainly don't hate the things I used to like.. that's kind of fad-ish..

How old are these people you talk of on Gaia?? The way you talk it sounds like people who are in their early teens.... You must remember that becoming a teenager, a lot of "kids" reject everything that was their childhood in an effort to promote their sense of independance and maturity. Unless a person has had a genuinely horrendous childhood then most of this hate talk of childhood will disappear over time. They mature into adults and suddenly realise the teengager worries were trivial and that of all times, childhood was the best time. There is always a degree of innocence and carelessness as a child that once lost can never be regained.

I remember once doing a topic for debating in school "The more you know, the less you know". How true is that...

If I am right about the age group to which you refer, then don't be disheartened or disillusioned. The childhood hate is only a phase and there is plenty of positives to be remembered. ;) If I am not right about the age - just remember that people with emotional beefs tend to have this way of finding one another... perhaps that place is Gaia. ;)

I believe that people still love at least one thing from their childhood. Like Tamagotchis. Some, say, 16 year olds would regard Tamas as 'babyish' while others love them. Some 12 year olds may love their Barbies but at 13 discover they hate them. I don't think I wasted my childhood. I have learnt from my mistakes and victories. I've persevered at what I find hard and have come through it all victorious. I wouldn't regard myself as a child but not as an adult. I've been lucky in my life.

Why 13+? o_O' In my eyes until you hit 18+, you still have your childhood.

I don't remember the majority of my 'childhood'. I forced myself to forget most things o.o'

Most the people on gaia are 13+. The TOS actually requires you be at least 13 to sign up. But as with all age restrictions, people under 13 sign up as well. The oldest person I've seen there is 56.

I am 11 and therefore still in my childhood! I just gotta say that I love my life, I love my family and all my friends and I enjoy school and home. I believe I am very lucky! ^_^ :D

Ha ha... Childhood I am 10!

I love my life a child.

I have this really funny memory of When I had my eyes open the tiniest bit my cat clibmed over my head and my mum took a photo and then I was like "You took a photo of that?!?"

Ah... good times

But now I am being shreaded into ribbons by Shadow (Don't be fooled by the really cute looks)

Haha, I ♥ being a child! I'm nowhere near being an adult, lol!

I kinda agree with you, Sweet Kandi! You aren't "really small" anymore, but still a child!

Holy snot, that girl must have really been shy..

I am only eleven I have some little kid memories.

I was at preschool, and I had ate to much, right before we went outside I threw up, and almost on my friend Hannah..

I was riding my bike in my grandparents driveway with my cousin going "Cousin for sale ownwee five cens, cousin for he's not a brig ol' wrench. You can hug him you can bug him, he won't pay the rent. Cousin for sale ownwee five cens."

^The marykate and ashley song off of some old video they made when they were little, only it was brother for sale, and they said the correct words..

I was in the car one time with my mom and I said "Mommy when I get married, will you still be related to me?" she just laughed at that...

And the time my older brother told me I was adopted, I didn't talk to him for a week..

And one time when I splashed water on my babysitters leg and she used my moms blowdryer to dry her jeans.

And having my dad check the WHOLE house for mosnters because I was scared, but hey,, I was three..

Thats just about all I remember anyways, there are more, but I don't feel like typing them.

I'm sure your not stupid, just silly.

Anyways, maybe we should stop posting things like this and get back on topic....

I'm 13 :D

I don't reckon I wasted my childhood! NO WAY! lol My childhood was hilarious!

I used to always talk like a baby and record tapes of myself making silly noises (i still do:p)

Me and my friends run around outside yelling, and I do somersaults all the way around the yard :D

EDIT: Funny things that I remember:

When I was in pre-school we had pack up time, but I didn't like it so I just walked around while everyone else cleaned up! B)

At playgroup we went on an excursion to play-maze and I was about to go down a really big slide, but I was taking my time cuz I was scared and A boy named Kurt came up behind me and said 'Hurry Up!' and shoved me down the slide!

In year 1 My mum was dropping me off at school, but I really didn't want her to go, so I cried and hugged her, and she stayed with me for like an hour!

In year 3 I was mega hyper, and was jumping around in class, then I couldn't find my workbook and that made the teacher SO angry, he grabbed my desk and shook the contents all over the floor, and made me clean it up so I could find my workbook! :(

in 2004 after my mum's funeral, we had a big party and went to the club, and the workers were chasing me and my cousins and friends around, so we went into the toilets and locked ourselves in cubicles, but someone came in so I went 'I'm doing a pooo!' and Then the lady left, and I said 'who was that?' and my cousin who was standing outside said 'Oh, just an old lady. a pub lady,' and then the lady came back in and said 'NO! I'm a YOUNG lady that works here!!' after that we nearly wet ourselves :)

A few months ago, I was at school and I had just eaten a packet of chips, so I went to throw it in the bin... I was half a foot away from the bin and I missed!!

This post Is really long, so I'll post more memories later :p
