Be patient. Just wait. If you paused your tamagotchi to much it will take about 3 more days. I had a Tamatchi for 3 days!!! 
To get a Adult on a v2-v4 they should be about ages 3-4. Each day your tamagotchi lives (without pausing) they will gorw a year older.
