After 24 hours, the parent leaves. Then you can name it. My parent always leaves while the baby is sleeping.

The first day ur tama is with the baby, it will just stay.
But the next night it will leave.
Then u can name it when it wakes up
also, if u can remeber around the time u got the baby, on the 2nd day u have it, set it 2 11:59pm (23:59) And u can watch and say good bye 2 ur tama. ^__^
