Im alittle confused about that as well cause I also thought the same thing .. the only thing that i did find is that when you are on the explorer game and you go into your house .. walk over to the hamster an arrow will show and you then have the option to give stuff to your hamster and get stuff from it as well .... hope this helps

some of the things only transfer to dragon lizards pixies and puffballs.

Well the hamsters get fibersticks and romaniane brulee. And when you go home click on your mini-pet and choose what to give him. Then before you take the mini-pet out click zap(on the mini-pet)twice!
