1st: 7 year olds can't turn into the matchmaker, so it might be a glitch.
2nd: the matchmaker probably just popped up on your screen, hit the (
button to have her select a mate for your tama.

1st: You CAN get a matchmaker
2nd: If it is 7 and an adult,that proves #1 more
3rd: You can even check the character chart

The cool thing is that if you mate with another oldie you will get Oyajitchi. He/she skips the child and teen stage. Just make a baby. The matchmaker will not come for a oldie.
