Ok, so I was just sitting here at my computer desk and BOOM! Well, it was more of a thud.... so THUD! I look over where the sound came from and I saw a blur fall to the ground. I figured it was a bird and it was. I ran over the the window because I didn't see it fly back away. I looked down and there was a grey and black lump.... it took me a while to realize that it was the bird. Don't worry animal lovers, it was still alive. But it's neck was cocked to the side, at first I figured it's neck was brocken but then realized that if it broke it's neck it would be dead or in a little more pain [but what does a pained bird look like??]

So anyways... it's neck was cocked to the side and it kept moving its neck back until it wouldn't go any further. After that it just fell over. It looked like it had fainted. I tapped on the window a few times and then it got up and fell over again!

I ran outside to the window and saw it's little tail from behind the flower pot on the ground. I moved over to get a better view and it ran around the pot, so I went to the other side. I got a stick and rapped it on the ground to see if it would move and it ran around some more. I took a step back and it flew right up, flew into the same window, then sort of doubled back and flew into a different window, and dodged into the bushes. It was so bizarre. It was like the bird fainted and was delirious. Do they faint?? I have seen other birds hit the window and fly right up again but this was a weird bird. I hope it is okay and didn't get hurt too bad. Hmmm poor birdie. -.*

I wound say it fainted, but was probably knocked out, then regained consiousness, then it saw you and probably thought you were a threat and tried to fly away. He probably hit the window with suck force becuase being as he could see inside, he probably thought he could get inside aswell...

Well they're my ideas! :D

Lol, sounds good enough for me!! For some reason, an uncanny amount of birds crash into that very same reason... I wonder what they want soo bad. Maybe they want the TV?? lol -.*

If birds are continually crashing into your window, you should probably close the shutters, or put venetian blinds up...at the very least a thin curtain of lace or something. Crashing into windows is extremely deadly for birds, they usually break their necks or breastbone, or suffer concussions.

Either way, they very often end up dying. :D So, I would recommend putting up some sort of visual barrier in your window, so they don't assume that they can fly inside and continue to injure themselves. It's the kindest thing to do.

Well, we pull down the curtains at night, and they are halfdown in the daytime. It lets in a lot of light though. But good idea. Don't want inocent birds dieing. In fact I had parakeets when I was younger, one had a sad fate though. Neck broke, won't go into detail though because I don't want anyone getting wrong ideas.

I'm glad you're thinking of the little birds! Anything, even a hanging window decoration or sticker or something will help. Good on you! :D

Yea thanks. But I would expect that the diversion would be the bird feeders, about 5 feet from the windows. [Haha *laughs*] Well, I think the sticker idea is good too, I think maybe I will try that.
