On my V4 when I press the C button my tama is happy.

Its a toddler?

When doese my tama go to school?

and the stars at the mail box when I check it?

I get that animation on my V4 when I press C button too.

I have a Ringotchi teen.

The Ringotchi comes up close to the screen and the pulls back again.

It was a random animation on the previous versions (V1 - V3) - you never knew when it would happen - and only with the Adult Characters - so I think it is nice that you can make that animation happen whenever you wish

As for your other questions - I think you will find the answers in the V4 instruction sheet:

Pre_School = 0-2yrs

School = 2yrs

All Tamagotchi Version 4's will have that. Rarely on a V4 you will see your Tamagotchi sing, roll, dance, and come close to the screen, itself. Now you will be able to do this automatically by pressing the © button when your Tamagotchi is at the main screen.
