Ok well I think my tamagotchi is weird I compared mine with my cousins and it was different. Like...
hers says "Gender" and mine says "Style"
another one is that when I click on the book it says friends and items but hers was friends and presents. When we connect mine would say absent and hers says away. Theres was a little difference in the food too, even though we both have a Mimitchi and same age

sounds like you have the British version and your friend has the US version,

Only names are different, not images right?
I think you have the UK version too.
And what I also found is the UK version (or let's call it ConneXion) does not have the "PAUSE" option, obtainable holding button A and then pressing button B during play.
