-Isn't an oval egged shaped like a tama
-Has more or less than 3 buttons, must have 3 buttons to be real
-doesn't say tamaogotchi on it, but may say sumthin else.
-Doesn't have a version.

I have a fake tamagotchi. Alot of fake tamas are made by the same company; JD. It's a company that sells fake tamagotchis. They come out with high versions like V9, V10, V12, V5, V7, and stuff like that. If you see the logo JD or any fake logo, don't buy the tamagotchi. Well, you can. Fakes can often be fun, but I'd much prefer to be loyal to Bandai. My fake tamagotchi fooled me. I thought it was real.

Be careful! Some companies copy the Bandai logo! After u find the logo, look for the R with a circle.
Just check for the bandai logo
