I bought two P1 tamagotchis with colours I haven´t seen before. One is Gold and one is silver.

They have yellow buttons and shine like chrome. Does anyone know what they were made for? Special edition?

I have a gold and a silver special edition of P2, but neither of them have yellow buttons. I'm very curious, could you post a picture? Have you raised them yet, so you can be sure they area actually legitimate Tamagotchi? I have to know now.

Hello,

the tamagotchis haven´t arrived yet. But I have got the pictures from the shop. They are different to the "normal" golden and silver ones and P1, not P2 :)

Hope they will arrive soon to check if they are original ones. I´m so excited ;)

Those are very interesting! Maybe they were a Hong Kong release? If, I'm not mistaken, those were packaged like the JP ones, but have english menues. Maybe ask Mothra! She may know!

I asked her already but I haven´t an answer by now^^

Maybe they are Hong Kong versions but they must be very rare! I´m collecting tamagotchis for years now but I never saw this ones in my life :kusatchi:

Hope they will arrive soon to check if they are real Bandai tams and if the menu is japanese or english. They shall be mint in package so maybe I don´t open the package. But the Hong Kong versions have english instructions on the back of the package.

I think they will arrive next friday or saturday. I will take more pictures of them when they are here. Hope they aren´t fakes and the pictures are really the right ones. But I bought so much tams there and all were perfect an orignal

I´m so interested in them. Please help me to find out what edition they are :pochitchi:

(sorry for my bad english, hope you can understand me)

Mothra has been very busy as of late. She may take a while to respond. I've posted your pictures on another site in hopes that there may be a member there that can help. I've sent you a PM with the link to the other site too ;)

They sure look real! The card has the BanDai stamp on it and everything. I pulled out my P1 to compare too, and I can't find anything on the card that isn't the same! Where did you get these from??? What site?

I´m so interested in them. Please help me to find out what edition they are  :D
I am trying everything I know to figure it out too! They are very interesting colors! Like I said before, I've posted your pics on another site in hopes of getting an answer from there too. I'll let you know as soon as I find anything out.

They are a Hong Kong release.

Which store did you get those tamagotchi from? I need a link to that site!

Okay, this is what I've got so far. The names of the people that posted these replies have been removed, just in case;

I have seen pictures of the gold one, the lighting is not right on the other pics to see if it had that crome gleem though.Never seen the silver, what a find!

WOW! I can't say I've ever seen either of them.  They are in genuine pkg's, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are genuine colors from Japan.  It's highly possible they were painted and bought off of Yahoo Japan or just painted by the owner.  Where did you find that posting?  Of course anything is possible, and they may be real...but, something tells me not.

Let us know if you can find out something more about them.  I'd be curious to know. ~L.
I see weird stuff like that on YahooJP auctions once in a while.People paint their tamas and put them in original packs to sell them somewhat regularly.

You can see some very interesting paint jobs and customizations on those auctions. So they could just be custom jobs. ~M.
So far, that's the info I have. others are interested in where you got these from too! :D

Thank you for your help :p

The tams were bought from Jasons store so I can´t belive they were painted himself because I never saw customized tams at Jasons store. Maybe the first owner made them look like this.

I will see more when they arrives.

When they are custimized they also looks great :p

those are absolutely fabulous! :kusatchi: Have you taken them out of the package to inspect them yet? (for possibly being custom)

KM

those tams are gorgeous

as you already said before, this tam maybe customized

is the material of the shell the same with the other P1's?

they can also be sprayed by pilox before Jason bought them and sell it in his store ;)

anyways, they're good looking :gozarutchi:

Yes I love them :(

I opened a Version 2 some days ago and the paint job is the same way like the P1s. So I believe they are not customized. It´s the same work like original Bandai paint with the corners not painted...
