what are aquapets anyway? are they like ocean tamagotchis?

They NOTHING like Tamagotchi Ocean. AquaPets are just Disturbing and don't really do much of anything other then make sounds and bob up and down in the water. I also don't really like them much. I tried one out in a store maybe about a year ago and I got bored. Its design also bothers me, couldn't they have made it look different? Please note this is my opinion so don't bite my head off.what are aquapets anyway? are they like ocean tamagotchis?
