My friend got a V3 that just says TAMAGOTCHI on it but it still works like a real one. So if you are buying on e-bay, and you can see a pic of the tam and it just says TAMAGOTCHI on it, it's probably not a fake.

Yeah, my friend and I both have a V3 tamagotchi that only says "Tamagotchi" instead of "Tamagotchi Connection." I think it's a normal tama, and if it's a fake, I don't really care. It works fine! I think the earlier V3s didn't have it, or maybe the later ones don't.

If it just says, "Tamagotchi" then it is a connexion.
