It annoys me so much!

There's a boy in my younger sister's class. I'm good friends with him, but everyone's beginning to start rumors that I'm going out with him! Now everyone chants "Alyssa and Joey sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G" and that stupid thing. I'm not going out with him though, and no matter how many times I have to say we aren't people still tease me about going out with Joey.

What should I do about it? I don't think I should ignore them, because eventually it would get out of hand. And I don't want to lie and say "We broke up" because we weren't even going out. So how can it stop?

Maybe u should tell everyone that its okay to have friends that are boys, and tell them that they are all sick then leave dramatically, it'll give them something 2 think about!!!! (P.S. When you leave dramatically, whatever u do, DON'T TRIP OVER!!!! hehe!)

They sound very immature to be saying such things, maybe they are jealous that you have a male friend and they don't? You can talk to a teacher maybe? Just tell them whats going on at lunch or whenever it happens. You can't really stop playground rumours unfortunately. Also, you don't have to lie and say you broke up, you don't need to tell them anything. Next time they be silly like that, just tell them you don't want to speak to people who are immature, and if they want to talk to you, they can talk about other stuff, not him or you. They will get bored that your not giving them the attention they want, like getting upset or cranky. Just act as if you dont care, they will get bored and move on to someone who appears weaker and cries or gets very upset at there childish jokes and songs. Hope I helped

That's a pretty good idea. I'll try that when school gets back in after vacation.
