Sometimes my Music Star does that when it wants my attention for something, or when its running out of battery. Try downloading it, or resetting it to see if it goes back to the regular settings. If that doesn't work, then replace the batteries. Hope this helps! :D - Citrus Fruit~*

I think it may be a glitch. Sometimes tamagotchis aren't made correctly, and they have annoying problems or glitches. I suggest that your friend gets a new tama. Hope that helps! :D
