Yes, they accumulate. Getting a certain number of care misses as a toddler or teen will affect which teen/adult character you get. There are several version-specific care miss charts out online. I usually just Google "(tmgc model name) care miss chart" and I get what I'm looking for. Good luck!

That happen to me too. You might be pressing A too many times to get the shopkeeper surprised. Make sure you only press A four times. It will make noise the first time and then three silent presses after that. I think it should work.

As far as I know, the v3 is a little less complicated and it's got a less bulky antenna. In my opinion, the v3 games are easier and more fun. But, the whole family aspect of the v5 is kind of cute. All in all, they're both great!
