Its a version 4.5 and I don't pause it or change time. He just stays 1 year old I don't know what to do?

I need help badly. I keep resetting my tamagotchi but I have the same problem. Ok my tamagotchi gets 1 year old and is a teen. and does not age after that. Do I need a new battery? Do I need to download it what's going on. I checked other questions like this. No one answered what to do when this...

Hey guys its me Selena again guess what! I evolved earlier at dinner. Now I'm a full fledged ura young yattatchi. Yay! :D Oh yea I want to be a ura yattatchi when I grow up. All the boys at school drool over me. They love my cream orange color and my beutiful eyes. ;) well I gtg catcha later.
