A Tamagotchi V5 DOES pause! It just has a different way than the older versions. All you have to do is activate the travel channel under tv, and that acts as a pause. (it even says in the intstructions [NOTE: Using "TRAVEL SHOW" acts ase the same function of PAUSE MODE from previous versions.])...
