I did deleat some friends, now I only have 2 friends but it still doesn't work. I can visit or play a game while connecting, but I just can't give presents!!

When I try to connect with another tamagotchi it won't let me use the present option. It says sorry list full when I only have 2 friends in my list. Even before it trys to connect to give the present it already says 'sorry list full'. Is this a bug/problem or is it normal? What should I do? PS...
