No actually I think the first ones looked pretty much like the new ones, only smaller and lacked a few of the features of the gameplay stuff and all.

I think the prices vary because if p1 is what i think it is then you can only buy it from somebody who has one from when they were a kid or on ebay or something.

Well I guess it's not the best thing to play with, but neither are marbles or coins and people collect those. I guess it's just cool things to look at and show to people to impress them (hehehe!). They may be expensive, but that's what makes a collection more special! :pochitchi:
