Whenever I want to type in a password it says error and it won't let me do it? Any ideas??

I got my kids these today and they started playing with them, fed them, they went from egg to child to teenager in a couple of hours, they then went to sleep, that was at least 3 hours ago and they are still sleeping. My kids want to know when they will wake up and if there is something wrong...
